Become an Industry Double-Threat with our Skincare & Electrolysis Program!
Are you excited for the future, but torn between two loves? If the thrill of cosmetology and the pull of healthcare leave you feeling like you just can’t decide, maybe you shouldn’t! At Daytona College, our Skincare & Electrolysis program combines these two passions into one focus. Instead of trying to choose which path to walk, you can stroll along a trail wide enough for three!
By blending Facial Specialist and Electrolysis curriculums, our students receive vital training in both fields. As you learn the fundamentals and scientific principles of the skin’s structure and function, you’ll build the foundation needed to excel in the healthcare industry. At the same time, you’ll develop an understanding of the proper procedures behind different skincare techniques such as makeup artistry, aromatherapy, basic therapeutic massage techniques, hair removal, and waxing. Our combined training will also help you gain the upper hand when it comes to the beauty world.
As a Skincare & Electrolysis student, you’ll learn about:
- Microdermabrasion
- Pressure Points Massage
- Body Wrapping
- Enzyme Treatments
- Makeup
- Mask and Spa Therapies
- Color Analysis
- Hair Removal
- Hot Stone Treatments
- Traditional Holistic Approach to Skincare
At Daytona College, we believe in getting hands-on with our training. That’s why our students learn from experienced instructors through practical application using industry equipment.
Because the Florida Electrolysis Council requires an Electrolysis license in the State of Florida, that portion of our program (which adheres to the council’s requirements) is limited to training in the universally accepted procedures of Electrolysis. On the flip side, the Board of Cosmetology requires grads to obtain a Facial Specialist registration. Whichever way you lean, we’ll prepare you for the certification you need for the career you want!
Upon completion of the Skincare & Electrolysis program, graduates will be able to work for:
- Salons, Spas, and Resorts
- Cruise Lines
- Chiropractic Clinics
- Sports Teams
- Medi-Spas
- Business Offices
- Wellness Centers
Our students receive the training necessary for entry-level employment in the exciting field of health, beauty, and wellness. Not interested in working for someone else? Don’t worry; we’ll also provide the skills you need to run your own business.
If you’re ready to take the next step toward a life filled with passion and purpose, Daytona College can help! Call us at (386) 267-0565 to learn more!
