Daytona – Fall Hair Trends 2017

Every season has defining characteristics. If summer is the season for adventure, then fall is definitely the season of change. Even changing our daily coffee if you’re a devotee of the pumpkin spice latte. So it’s a great time to roll out a new look! After all, fall ushers in the holiday season, which means the usual round of festivities and holiday parties that we all want to look our best for. So while the temperature cools down, check out some of the hottest trends heating things up this fall.
Do try an updo – A pretty updo is not just for prom anymore. We love the loose “messy” updo that can be as tame or wild as your mood. For a more romantic look, we love the curly, woven looking updo or a vintage braided crown. On the other hand, an updo can be sleek and tidily tucked in power bun for a look that screams queen of the boardroom.
Pixie with an edge – The classic pixie cut is not so classic with a more rock and roll feel than faerie. Ideally, this cut should be styled smooth and straight and is best for straight or slightly wavy hair. The layers on top are kept a little longer making it easier to style straight with straightening iron and a good smoothing serum.
Cue up the curls – For those of us who lament our corkscrew coils and long for sleek and straight, stop! Curls are cool this season and natural curls in their full voluminous glory are not just in, they are showing up on red carpets everywhere! Short or long curls, curly bangs…it all works and are easy to maintain with regular trims to keep split ends at bay and a good finishing product to keep your texture looking fabulous.
Pump up the volume – Full, lush, voluminous… volume!! This fall, give your hair a boost in the volume department. If your hair is a little thin and natural volume is hard to achieve, extensions are a great way to achieve that full look. Your stylist can help you choose between clip-on extensions if you don’t want to commit to more long-term extensions.
Full fall color – A great way to welcome autumn’s cool air is with warm color! Dark browns, deep coppery reds, caramel highlights on jet black, are all perfect for fall. If you don’t want to stray completely away from your blonde roots, try going bronde! A dark blonde is easier to maintain and is a great way to change up your look for fall and not change it completely.
