Day to Night Hair Tips

When you’re lost in a trance at the office all day, getting your party hair ready, can be a challenge. After all, it’s hard enough to figure out the perfect makeup, outfit, and shoes. That’s why choosing a hairstyle that is super easy to transition from your day job to your nightlife is super helpful. If you’re looking for inspiration that’s easy to do, look no further than these day-to-night hair tips.

Braided bun

An updo of any kind is a great party look, so start with a high or low ponytail and braid the length of your hair. Wrap the braid around the top of the ponytail and secure with a few bobby pins. A spritz of hair spray and you’re good to go!

Blinged out ponytail

A ponytail doesn’t always have to be casual. A super-high one, adorned with a velvety black or red ribbon adds the perfect style! For extra bling, slip a gem-encrusted barrette at the top of your crown.

Side-swept

If you’re blessed with natural waves, this is a more effortless style to pull off. If not naturally wavy, start the night before with the foam rollers to get that perfect wave. Then, pull all your hair to one side over your shoulder and secure at the back for a look that’s all glam!

Milkmaid braid

This is another great day to night style that you can dress up with a few accessories or by curling a few strands around your face. And it’s pretty simple. Just part your hair down the middle, braid each side, wrapping each braid over the top of your head like a headband. Secure in place with a festive hair clip or bobby pin, and you’re good to go!

Braid out

Wash and add styling gel or mouse. Braid the whole head into medium-large single braids when dry take out each braid and style as preferred.

 Twist out

This is simple:  Two strand twist your whole head and rubber band the ends until it is  dry. Take out and style for desire look.

 Bantu Knots

Make a horizontal parting line about 3 inches from the nape, add a vertical line from the horizontal parting you just made down to the neck, make it as big as you want your squares to me and repeat going across the section twist/roll hair up into a roll and place rubber band at the scalp.
