Beauty Trends in 2023
As we get ready to usher in a new year, it’s also time to roll out the latest beauty trends for 2023. Some of these new trends are in direct opposition to what was popular in 2022, so be sure to read up on what’s in, so no one can say that your look is “so last year.”
Smudged Eyeliner
The past couple of years have been all about precise, graphic eyeliner, but not everyone has the steady hand and artistic ability to master the perfect floating crease or reverse cat eye. Instead, we’ve returned to the easy, grungy smudged eyeliner look . Apply a dark kohl eyeliner and smudge with a brush, smudging tool, or even a cotton swab.
Stick and Cream Blushes
Stick and cream blushes are super easy to apply and blend. They look natural and give you a more luminous look than powder blushes. 2023 is all about keeping makeup simple, and a few dabs of some rosy cream blush on the apples of your cheeks will give you an instant lift.
Brushed Up Brows
Instead of the tamed, tweezed and sculpted brows of the past, the new year will be all about thicker, “fluffier” brows that are brushed up to make you look more awake. Just add a little brow gel to add volume and keep them in place, and you’re good to go.
Long Layers
Again, after a few years of sleek, straight, one-length hair, the famous shag has returned. Long layers will give your hair more volume and movement, and add some bounce and wave for a stylish, easy-to-maintain look.
The Side Part
You may have heard a while back that Gen Z declared that parting your hair on the side was lame. But a middle part doesn’t look great on everyone, and it can be too harsh. Look for the side part to come back in 2023.
