What You Can Expect

Graduates of the Daytona College Home Health Aide Certificate program complete 75 hours of training and clinical instruction.

Graduates may seek employment with a home healthcare agency. These employers often require skill competency testing and other requirements for evaluation prior to employment. Daytona College incorporates skills training and preparation for entry level employment.

The state of Florida doesn’t mandate licensing or certification for home health aides. However, to qualify for work in a Medicare or Medicaid home health agency, applicants must complete the program and a competency evaluation.
