At Daytona College, You will Get
The Home Health Aide Certificate program at Daytona College is designed to prepare graduates for a rewarding career in the home health care services industry.
As a student in the program, you’ll be trained to provide a variety of home healthcare and rehabilitative services to patients in a home environment with coursework that includes:
Graduates of the Daytona College Home Health Aide Certificate program complete 75 hours of training and clinical instruction.
Graduates may seek employment with a home healthcare agency. These employers often require skill competency testing and other requirements for evaluation prior to employment. Daytona College incorporates skills training and preparation for entry level employment.
The state of Florida doesn’t mandate licensing or certification for home health aides. However, to qualify for work in a Medicare or Medicaid home health agency, applicants must complete the program and a competency evaluation.
